Plug Into 品 (mini)

The smartphone revolution has taken over the city! It is now a common sight to see city dwellers hunched looking down at one's smartphone, eyes glued to the screen, earphones plugged in, with the backlight glowing eerily on their faces. It is sometimes sad to see that even during meal times with friends or family, everyone is engaged - not with each other but with their smartphones and devices. Everyone seems to be in their own virtual world despite the physical proximity. Technology should only serve as a tool to help us in certain tasks, it should not dominate us and lead us by the nose, literally.  

We like to remind our friends to "unplug" from your devices and "plug" into reality more ...enjoy the company of your friends and family. Talk to them instead of letting your fingers do the chatting. In this design we decided to convey this message using our standard 3-pin plug socket with the ON/OFF switch. Yes, unplug yourself from all the devices, take off those head phones and switch them off if you can! Coincidentally, the 3-pin plug socket looks like the chinese character for "品",  to taste. Plug into "品" and taste life physically, not virtually!
